A FDNY firefighter was injured battling a large fire that tore through three Brooklyn apartment buildings Monday.
The fire broke out at about 7:40 p.m. on the second floor of a vacant, middle, four-story brownstone that was being renovated in the Bedford Stuyversant area, WABC-TV reports. Flames then spread to two nearby buildings.
About 150 firefighters and EMTs responded to the call. Putting out the fire was challenging for crews because the age and deterioration of the buildings created dangerous condition.
